My daughter is an over-thinker and it is evident from academic to personal issues. Last night she came down the stairs after her bath with a sad look on her face. When I asked her what was wrong, she began to cry "why does time have to go by so fast? One minute I'm entering the fifth grade and the next I'll be looking for a job. Weekends seem like they last for only half a day."
Yeah, how do you answer that? She's only ten years old. So I said "yes, sometimes it does seem to go by fast, but you have plenty of time before you have to look for a job." Then my husband and I proceeded to distract her with other things. That's the sort of thing that tugs at a mother's heart, something that comes out of nowhere and can not be "fixed".

Awwwwwwww....my niece is so sweet! Amazing to see how young they are when they become 'real' thinkers and worry about things! And she's right! The weekends DO seem to pass too quickly! I love weekends! Besides holidays and a vacation, it's really the only time we can spend all day and all night with our loved ones! We have them all to ourselves for too short a period of time! Whoever thought there should be a 40 hour work week must not have been close to their family!
Aw... that's so sad! My oldest is that way.
Awww..what a sweetie.. :)
